I have now signed up to tomato, change over on the 6th. With John's assistance he worked out that I will be over £300 per year better off, and that is before the next new price cap as tomato is fixed for a year.

One thing could be an issue is email response times. I emailed them to ask if the off peak times are affected by daylight saving times and I'm still waiting for a response 4 days later.

Yes, I found that when I was researching them. Main problems seem to be with the speed of response and being able to see any data on your account.

I dont know if Octopus will have my export, I'm awaiting a reply from them, Tomato dont do export yet but I have found another company that pays up to 40p for export dependent on grid demand etc. I'm clarifying a few points with them.

I am interested to know which company you have found paying up to 40p for export?

EON if you have panels and battery fitted by them, there were a couple more but I'm waiting for clarification, they are time dependent i.e. export at peak times.

Thanks. I already have panels installed a few years ago, so that would not be an option for me. Are the others able to do something similar with an existing setup?
