We have a MG4 SE SR which is due its first service.
The dealer has said "the only software updates that will be carried out as standard will be the software update for the lane assist. The only other time that we are allowed to do software updates is if you have any particular concerns with your car & an update would resolve that issue."
The car's current software is R21 and I believe that there has been an R33 and the current version is R38.
Perhaps those updates have just been for trivial glitches, but I would have thought that doing an update would give some significant benefits.
(Outside temperature display would be good to have.)
@siteguru has said "Fortunately my dealer works with me and will raise Service NOW (SNOW) cases in order to get the updates applied with MG paying."
How does this work?
What are my chances of persuading my dealer to do an upgrade?
(I've read the recent thread To Update or Not? which is helpful, but my instinct is to try and get the latest software.)
