Shutting down and locking car

How do you turn off everything when leaving the MG4? with radio on etc, I shut door and use remote to lock car and of course it works.

However, the lock function on the smart app won’t work asking for everything to be shut down first. I watched a video from a dealer than says this is a useful feature if you walk away and forget to lock your car, you are not going to stop shut things down and walk away it’s easier to shut the door and lock with the remote.

what am I missing?

Yes it does thanks but still true why switch off inside the car then exit? Might as well just get out and lock it.

I'm not going for an MG 4, but I hate the radio coming on as soon as I start up, so always shut everything off before I get out.

On my new 4, the radio doesn't start playing until I press play on the info screen.

I don’t know if this is just a feature of the Trophy, which we have but here is what I am doing.

I stop the car. Press the P dial. Get out, shut the door and press the door handle button and everything turns off.
No need to use the key fob.

Same when I want to get into the car, press door handle button, get in, press brake pedal and everything turns on.
