SOH

My dealer told me my car had 100% SoH at its first service. I don't really believe him, but it's hard to tell when last summer was so much colder than the summer before.

LFP will decline rapidly in the early stage, I'm read it form OBD

Dealer reported mine as 95% at the last service almost a year ago. 2nd service is next month so let's see what we get. (I'm expecting it to be pretty much the same). :)

As I recall, the service intervals (for warranty) are 12 months / 15k miles ... have they confirmed your warranty is still valid?

My SOH was the same. :)
Here in Australia the first service is after 24 months or 40.000 km, whichever comes first.

As I wrote that I started doubting myself, but this is from the website:

A lot of people here complain that the maintenance cycle of MG4 is much lower than other electric cars, only 10,000 kilometers/half year

-_-

Doesn’t seem to be an ER mentioned in this thread. Had my first annual service this week. Told the SOH was 98%. Hope that can be regarded as ‘normal’???

If this If the car has already run 20000 kilometers / 1 year, I think it's normal for it to exceed 97%

If the LFP battery, it should be around 95%

MG UK like to fleece every extra penny they can get out their victims, I mean customers
I think this is dealer specific. I have gone back to my dealer 4 times and they have not charged me anything. The only two things have been the Bulge is normal and Chirping is normal. Now they are fixing the bulge with the bar with a software update. I don't expect to pay. That just leaves the chirping.

The chat was about servicing and the fact that elsewhere was a service every 2 years, like some other manufacturers have in the UK but MG UK are every year, therefore doing virtually nothing for extra money

MG has two servicing, low mileage and Standard mileage. I just had a low mileage 2nd service for £150. As part of this I got a video of the technician looking at all my undercarriage, brakes pad, brake discs, shocks etc. I think it is worth it to catch things early (and I guess another year of roadside assist)

It's the same car but only needs servicing every two years in other countries.

Ive had a few EVs and have 3 currently on my drive they do not require the same servicing as ice cars, discs pads last a lot longer

And I know what servicing MG UK has I have one on my drive!

The first service is only an inspection and a new pollen filter at best, hence other countries leaving it for two years.

You honestly think a technician making a 5 minute video on his phone and showing you it is beneficial, were you able to tell a lot from it.
I'll put your car on ramps and do it for a tenner for you! I can't believe people think legacy car makers ev servicing is value for money, and that isn't just a pop at MG.

More than a Golf R first service (inc. inspection and all the new fancy spec oil) 🤷‍♂️

What do MG actually do at this first service apart from a few checks and deny you any software / module updates ? (which VW carry out for free too).

My SOH was 99% at 1 year and 9000 miles btw
