Supersport or sport mode whats the actual technical and functional difference

I drive routinely and primarily in comfort mode in my Cyberster "GT". If I have a requirement to engage more power like passing a lorry or a 911 I have 2 choices. Use the right paddle to select "sport" and when I've completed my maneuver I tap the paddle and I get "custom" and tap again and I'm back to "comfort". A loop of sorts through 3 modes. Or I can hit the red supersport button and get what seems to be similar power and when I complete my maneuver I simply hit the supersport button again and I'm right back to comfort immediately. I know one less tap so no big deal right? but,,,,,what else is gained by using supersport? Does it unleash more power for a certain period over sport mode? Does the throttle response or steering response change? Honestly I can't feel much difference even with driving extensively in both sport and supersport modes. Can anyone provide some functional description of what is added with supersport? I suppose it might be in the manual but scrolling through the manual on my mobile is a bit challenging for my old eyes!

I seem to remember that the boost button is used to restrict or switch off additional safety functions. That would also make sense.

Hi Jackolino,,,,it appears you would be correct! From the manual: "Based on map positioning, the user can turn on this function (Supersport) in circuits to feel the excitement of racing on the track". It would seem Supersport functionally is only available if on a race track recognized by map positioning or geography. The manual makes no reference to enhanced power, steering weight, or suspension changes. The manual states "some intelligent driver assisted functions will be turned off or limited, please pay attention to the prompts on the entertainment display screen". When I select Supersport mode the "prompts" do not appear on the entertainment display screen (I'm not on a recognized race circuit) hence the "intelligent driver assisted functions remain enabled. My conclusion is that Supersport mode does nothing more than Sport mode unless on a "circuit" recognized by map positioning. For daily street use Sport and Supersport appear to be the same. Correct?

Does the Cyberster have a kick down function. In the Xpower if you are in Normal mode and you floor it you will get the front motor kick in with no need to mode change

Hi Jackolino, Sorry I wasn't questioning your reading comprehension! I'm with you! I will never track my Cyberster. I suspect the vast majority of Cyberster owners also will never put their cars on a race track. But,,,,I'm pretty sure also the vast majority of Cyberster drivers believe pushing the Red Supersport button in daily driving somehow provides "additional" performance enhancement over Sport mode. I just think the Red Supersport button can be a bit misleading.

My Cyberster when in "Comfort " mode remains single motor, rear wheel drive, regardless of the depth of "flooring it". In comfort mode its solely rear wheel drive. In Sport mode its always front and rear motor driven.

Xpower behaves like this:
Eco mode = rear wheel drive only
Normal mode = rear wheel drive unless you floor it, then both motors during the acceleration
Sport mode = both front and rear motor all the time

Regen only available from the rear motor

I have seen that in "Comfort" mode, the Cyberster sometimes (but not always) also switches on the front motor when "flooring" the paddle (as indicated on the center screen too). I have not found out yet when or why this happens.

Yes! I've also just recently experienced the same phenomenon! I was turning a corner with loose gravel and I also observed the graphic of the front wheels turning blue briefly indicating they were active. However, hard as a try I can't reproduce it myself again. Instead of added power being required it could be a loss of traction on the rear wheels that has the front motor kick on. But no clue actually.
