The app never lies…

So my car is back to the dealer today, primarily for a TPMS fault that means incorrect pressures are shown when you start (always 2.8 bar on three wheels and 2.7 bar on one wheel), but after 20 mins a fault is displayed and all four wheels go blank.
But then I also got a completely jammed folded seat yesterday.
It’s been interesting viewing ‘progress’ via the app.

Ooh look the rear doors and tailgate are open, that’ll be them fixing the rear seat.
Ooh look, a TPMS warning, that’ll be them driving it.
Ooh look, I’ve been logged out of the app and it’s not registering the car, I bet that’s then disconnecting the 12V battery.
Ooh look, a power steering warning now (guessing the 12v reboot didn’t go too well..)
Ooh look, the TPMS is still showing 2.8 bar on three wheels and 2.7 bar one…

Phone rings, “we’ll have to keep your car”

I figured…. ?

At least with the MG app the mechanics/dealers cant blow smoke up anyone's rear end haha

The garages will be pressing MG for a service mode for the App that allows them to disable those updates. Otherwise we'll all find out where they buy their pasties from.

I think the 12V battery reboot must have taken the ‘bind’ off the car, as the app doesn’t seem to be updating.
So I’m blind again….BOOOOO!

Oh no wait
I’m back up on the app, I can see they’re driving it and I can see the TPMS values have changed (but are varying wildly per wheel)
I can also they ain’t got enough battery to get it back to me today.
