The cost of paint MG dynamic red Tri coat.

It doesn't look like the panel has been dented so at that price I might be tempted to touch up the bare metal with a little red paint and try a red colour restorer polish and see how much it hides the scratches. You'll know they are there but most people probably won't see them.
Ian do you know a good place to get paint that might match? I might give this a go myself. Quick search online I'm not seeing anything suitable for my red MG4.

When you do have it repaired take a jar with a lid, get them to put any left over paint into it.
Then you will have some touch up for a later date

Chipex say they do it when I enter my reg number into their website but I've never used them.

but how long does their 'repair' last?
I did more damage than Les whilst driving past our gatepost. (I'd missed it for the previous 43 years). I took it to a locaL car detailer. He had a 'machine' that told him the right 3 paints to mix and explained the stages he needed to go. Prepare the whole panel etc etc. He wasn't interested in a cheap job hiding the scratches with a similar red paint. It was an exact and undetectable match or go elsewhere. Which is what he delivered for £200 and I'm glad I paid. You just can't tell.

Do a search for "smart repairs" in your area. The trade get these folk to do through-the-paint scratches and small dents. They can repair the limited damage area and blend the paint into the rest of the door. No need to remove/replace anything, and done very quickly.
