The Ultimate MG5 "Real World" Energy Consumption Thread

Time for September.
It was sitting at 4.6 for the first half of the month but crept down a little as the weather worsened.

My monthly mileage and my monthly AC charge to 100%. Moved house this month and am renting without a home charger for the moment, so living with a granny charger only. Looking forward to moving again and installing a proper home charger.

My score for September and October . Didn't put one in last month because the car was parked up in Birmingahm Airport from 22nd September to October 7th . A colder spell and motorway round trip accounts for the hit on previous months

Nothing automated, just an Excel Spreadsheet with manual input :)
Well I could do THAT! Just need to remember to input the figures... Great how you can see the data over the years too, that's very useful

That was the idea behind starting this thread back in 2022.
Over time, you can see a range of consumption figures constituting "normal" for any month of the year so it enables a bit of expectation management.

3.8 - just above last year. Only 1373 miles this month as work took me away on a plane to a Renault Captur for a week.

My accumulated total keeps getting reset - I think a side effect of using Home Assistant instead of iSMART app. Good job I log my daily mileage/efficiency for work.

As we begin the next cold snap, here is a quick look at what the data in this thread tells us about the relationship between efficiency and temperature. Note this is only for the pre-facelift model and it includes both LR and SR (the latter being LFP so should be more affected by cold).

Temperature data from here: UK: average temperature by month 2024 | Statista

Of course, some of you may not be in the UK, but I don't have the patience to correct for that.
