Trivia time

Not sure the MG can regenerate enough; Otherwise there is a law for EVS and Hybrids, that once regen passes a certain level of Gs (it's a0.xx g though), brake lights must come on; When driving an EV I did occasionally check with shop windows, and it is fairly predictable when the lights will go on; But again, that's basically one pedal driving mode, and the ZS is not close to these levels I'd say.

Thanks for the reply. On setting 3 I find it’s very near 1 pedal driving, and use it all the time. I’ll try looking in shop windows, and rely on the emergency braking system to prevent me bumping into the car in front😉.

I have noticed rear brake lights on level 2 and 3, but only when the reduction in speed is quite firm or sudden. If I reduce acceleration slowly over a longer distance they don't. But that would be the same in any manual car as well.

Many thanks for all the replies. Including Alb’s “brakeyload”😉.

Apart from the ongoing PD052 malarkey, I must say I’m very impressed with my ZS Hybrid +. and the level of features and functionality it has.
It’s a bit of a learning curve, but I’m getting there, with the help of the excellent series of videos on YouTube by “Jerry Pan and Cars” in Auckland, these include the ZS hybrid+ and other MG models e.g. the MG3, and the new HS hybrid, which are also applicable.
They make MG UK’s on-line manual, look extremely unprofessional.
Cheers Noel.
