Hi guys (and dolls) been trying to look at the trophy hybrid plus but local dealer says none in until end of month. Been looking on Auto Trader and you tube and it looks a good car. We have at the moment a Citroen c3 Aircross which has been a good car purchased from new we needed a slightly larger car (from c3) for disability issues and the mg dimensions look roughly the same. Anyway (Sorry to ramble) could any Trophy hybrid plus owners recommend this car? Or are has it got bad reputation. Many thanks.

Maybe wrong forum as we mainly talk about EV and not hybrid? Are you looking for MG ZS or MG3 ?

I would suggest watching some YouTube videos and reviews

Agreed, some of the members made the decision to put their toe in the water ( so to speak ) when first considering shifting from a total ICE, by first trying out a PHEV for size.
These can make good introduction / transition car, on the road to then going full BEV driving.
This was my chosen path back in 2015.
We owned a VW Golf PHEV for 3 years before going full BEV in 2019 and then again in 2022.
The big attraction of the PHEV is that it comes fully equipped as standard, without any range anxiety of course.
Although, it is very surprising how many PHEV’s that are in common use, are very rarely placed on charge !.
These tend to by bought purely as company cars or for tax purposes etc.
Private owners certainly take every advantage to charge from home and therefore driving in EV mode, when the situation / conditions suit.
Otherwise it’s pointless buying a PHEV in the first place, as they are not cheap to buy or maintain for that matter ??.
