Cool…thanks….would it help also if I uninstalled the app, and reinstalled it, like starting from scratch?Yes I’d recommend you’re in the car connected to Bluetooth and have a good phone signal

Still the case I am sorry Sarah, you need the previous user to unbind from the car first !.Hello, just purchased a used MG zs EV, having the same issue as above, is it still the case previous owner has to unbind or do we know a different way?
I brought an MG AS EV trophy connect second which was binded to the old onwer. It took me a week to find someone to help me.Good afternoon all
have been lurking for a while waiting for mg ev trophy connect,
finally picked ex demo up yesterday from chorley some drive that from maidenhead, when i connected ismart up says car already bound and to unbind car, is there a way to do this as i cannot find anything so assuming it would be the dealership used the ismart app nd is still bound to them.
the wife loves it driving past petrol stations smiling away to herself
thanks
Hi I know this is an old thread but wondering if there is any ticket that was opened w MG support that I could refer to for a solution. I'm in Czech Republic - a handful of these cars here so far and dealer is learning pretty much right along w me. The phone that was bound in my case is no longer available and as such I need to somehow unbind the vehicle without the phone. thanks to anyone for a reply or solution - I'm still reading threads but this is exactly the same situation as mine.update on this spoke with miles yesterday he just called and said MG unbound the car their end as someone on a test drive bound the car,
so all sorted thanks to miles at chorley group,
and idiot as i am been driving in eco mode and freezing mentioned this and was told it is meant to do this try driving in normal
ever wanted to find a hole to hide in ?
If you send me your VIN number, and a proof of ownership (registration document/copy of order form/invoice), then I will see if we can get it unbound for you from the UK.Hi I know this is an old thread but wondering if there is any ticket that was opened w MG support that I could refer to for a solution. thanks for the reply - may I ask you that I provide my dealer contact here so that they can learn what to do? I am sure I'm not going to be the only one with the problem. If you don't mind then I'll contact you offline at the email supplied. thanks againIf you send me your VIN number, and a proof of ownership (registration document/copy of order form/invoice), then I will see if we can get it unbound for you from the UK.

I have a contact at MG Engineering in the UK, who very kindly unbinds the vehicles for me. I'm not sure he'd be happy with me sending out his contact details to overseas agencies. I'm happy for customers to contact me with the required information though, and then I'll ask him to unbind cars as required.thanks for the reply - may I ask you that I provide my dealer contact here so that they can learn what to do? As a follow up to this - where can one complain - about this sort of thing? I mean to try to get MG to realize this is not great and folks hare needlessly annoyed - this is a very easy software fix - I guess complaining on the App and giving low rating is one way and I've done that with an explanation but I don't know if there is some other place where one can provide feedback on so that they realize there are these ongoing issues. Thanks Miles this was a life saver - nobody here had a clue - kind of worrying TBH.
Hi Miles, I just purchased an MG ZS and having the same issue as everyone else, please may I ask the same favour to unbind the car? I'm new to this forum, not sure what sort of info is required? Bear in mind that is not the phone which is bound to the car but the account. If you know the login details (phone no or email and pw) you could use another phone. If not, then you need to contact MG as mentioned above.Hi I know this is an old thread but wondering if there is any ticket that was opened w MG support that I could refer to for a solution.
