Waiting on my MG4 Trophy

Dear lord I'm impatient, called the Dealer up again today, car should be with them in a day or two, possibly able to release to myself on the weekend, if not Monday at the latest.

They have to do their own due diligence and checks before they can hand it over, god forbid they delay me receiving my car by doing a thorough job

Let them cook, but insist they install all available updates before you accept the car.

If the experience of my wifes MG4 Trophy Extended Range is repeated you'll be wanting to give it back inside a month. Despite being assured that all software updates had been done that was not the case borne out by the list of issues. And to cap it all the AA had to be called out when we could not open the car. It appears that in the pdi they had not checked the 12v battery terminals. They were lose and hence the battery died!!!

Noted, although I appreciate they should be doing this, I can also poke my head under and around the car to take a look.

And I am now officially on #TeamSmurf.

Dear lord what a faff. My car is ready for pick-up tomorrow.

Called dealer this morning, they went "yes we have your car but you haven't paid us", turns out they hadn't sent me the email with the details to pay the rest of the deposit... Would've they just left the car sat there if I hadn't called them?

Then to insure the car, number plate is too new so can't do insurance online, next, because I want to insure with the same company (Hastings), they tell me that I have to cancel my current policy with them to use my NCB on the policy that I want for the MG... Several calls and transfers later it's done.

Seems wrong to "like" such a pain!

Glad you got it sorted, and can't wait for the pics!

They would have asked for the money when you collected the car but you would have to wait until it had cleared their bank and the accounts department were happy.

You can only insure one car at a time and use your NCB so they are right although they will often allow the policies to overlap for a couple of hours.

You thought your insurance was a faff. I had to change insurance companies as the original one didn't insure EVs and then they tried to charge me an early cancellation fee.

Fair, fair, just a novelty for me.
