I have on order a new ZS EV Trophy Long Range.
What is the view and experience of the forum on the warranty and the service plan

I bought the car from a dealer 125 miles away from me and will use the local dealer for servicing.i will be doing 3 to 5,000 miles a year.

I bought my EV from a dealer a hundred odd miles away aswell and had a few issues with it (nothing major but promised software updates and such), due to the distance they told me to take it to my local dealership at their cost to put right.
In my local dealership they gave me the option to take a service agreement for 3 years and it covers the MOT aswell.
Year 3, 4 & 5 for £20 a month.
I had no experience with EV's before this and my normal garage who serviced my old diesel engined car refused to look at EV's so in trepidation I took out the policy.

I'm six months into ownership of the EV and still yet to find out if I made the right decision.

There is a lot of debate about service costs and although this might not be the cheapest option, at least the prices are fixed for me for the next 3 years service and MOT's

Congratulations !
You must service it every year regardless of mileage. Read warranty and service requirements and start on the instructions manual - lot of good info there.
I would recommend service plan (I have it) but if you are doing only up to 5,000 miles, might be cheaper without the plan as they also have "low mileage" service option that is cheaper ... a few calls to different garages will give you an idea of the price difference
