Hi
Does any one know if my new car warranty is valid outside of the uk as I am planning a trip around Europe later this year
I rang customer service uk but they did not even understand my question
This is just a precaution if I need any warranty work doing while outside of the UK
Thanks

If you, like in the EU, have a roadside assist included, that will must likely bring your car in a drivable state or bring it to your home country, where any warrenty work will be completed. Bringing your car to warranty status, is must likely not covered by the included roadside assist, MG, EV or others.
I am unfamiliar with UK rights nowadays

I'd check with the AA if MG Assist covers you in Europe.

Hi
The MG assistant does not cover outside UK
So I have bought AA assistance that covers Europe
Hopefully if I need them they will get us going I am just a bit nervous about them trying to fix an EV from the roadside
Thanks

I doubt any warranty work will be done abroad especially as the wait for parts will be longer than your holiday. They'll fix a flat tyre or help with a flat 12V battery otherwise it will be put on a trailer and repatriated back in to the UK where the AA will then relay it back to your dealer.

Look on the bright side. Very few owners have been stranded and those that have mostly its been down to the 12V battery either being flat or a loose connection. The flat battery can be removed from being a problem by making sure you have all the software updates and checking the tightness of the connections. Take a booster pack to be doubly sure.

Have a look at this thread for more tips about going on a long journey.

I had warranty work on my UK registered BMW330D while is was in Germany, no questions asked, even gave me a nice rental car for 2 days.

I took my 10 month old VW to a VW garage in Bayreuth because a light bulb had gone. They fixed it under warranty, but they didn't do a great job because my own garage had to do it properly about a month later.

The really fun thing was the mechanic's face as he made to get into the car on the left hand side. "Who stole the steering wheel?"

Hello, I want to purchase an MG 4 EV second hand car from Germany and to bring it to Romania, which is also part of E.U. I wonder if the warranty is transferable to the second owner? Thanks

Instead of reading a lot of speculation I suggest you email MG's customer services and ask.

Hello, could anyone help me with a serial number for the front right light and projector? Any idea of a website from where I can get second hand parts? I need to fix this car. I've found it for a good price but it needs to be fixed, everything else is fine with the car. Thank you!
