week old mg4

From my earlier driving days of adding spot and for lights etc. The DVLA and NOT tested confirmed that lights either side of the centre line of the car HAVE to be equal. You can have any number of add on lights as long as they match the other side of the centre line.
Was this for just the front of the car?
How do cars that have just one reversing light as part of the cluster on one side of the car with a single fog light on the other?

as an aside I tried getting the DVLA to allow me to install cctv paired cameras with internal screens instead of wing mirrors, but they refused my idea. Please bear in mind this was in 1973 on a Volvo 145 estate car. The Mini EV and many top of the line cars have these as standard items now. I'm tempted to see if MG4 and Dealer could add these as I only have half an inch clearance when reversing into my garage and whilst it's easy enough to tap the button to retract the wing mirrors at the narrowest point so I probably won't bother to ask.

The mini EV doesn’t have cameras instead of mirrors.
Only two EV’s I know that have these are the Honda-e and the the E-tron.
I’m also not at all sure they reduce width much.
They are more aerodynamic, but that’s always struck me as a very daft argument on an EV where battery range over 70mph goes off a cliff anyway.
And in the Honda-e case, maybe going with normal mirrors would make it more competitive on price.
You don’t see many for a reason.
