Which ZS EV Mk2 V2L adaptor

Hi,

I have a 2022 ZS EV Mk2. the (long range trophy if it matters). I got a V2L adaptor off ebay (EV Cable Adapter 2022 MG ZS MG4 MG5 Discharge V2L Vehicle to Load UK Power Cut | eBay) but it does not appear to work. I plug it in, turn the car on and select the discharge screen, but it says connector not plugged in so won't let me start the discharge. I have made sure to select the minimum level well below the current charge.

Am I just unlucky with a duff one, or do I need a different adaptor? I have seen discussion on the resistor value and from what I could tell this one had a 410 ohm resistor in it.
Has anyone got a link to a specific one that they have got that works in a 2022 ZS EV?

It maybe worth checking if your car has the correct module that allows V2L before you buy another V2L cable.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/385640271682 Probably worth mentioning that it's still affected by the faulty part was put in the ZS EV since Jan 2023, so if you have the faulty EVCC then the linked adapter won't work until you have that part replaced.

It worked fine as long as the car was in ready mode.
The software required updating and now it will allow the discharge to continue, when the car is closed down and locked.

Has anyone got a link to a specific one that they have got that works in a 2022 ZS EV?

I think I bought the same one for my 2022 (end of 2021 manufacturing date) SR Trophy and it works. The guy accepted returns if not working and specifically mentioned it's for 2022 models only.

I tried it once and it worked. Can't remember whether the car was on, ready or off so best to try yours in all scenarios. There's another thread for V2L ZS , have a look there. For some people it worked only with doors unlocked and in ready mode.

I do have V2L but not tried it yet. Check the label on the CCU it will tell you that you can have an AC/DC output of 230v - 450v at 22A.
