Wipers come on when I brake!

Hello all,

As the title says really..

I have a MGZS EV Trophy long range, 23 plate.

Yesterday my car started to something strange. Whenever I use the breaks, no matter how lightly, the front and rear wipers come on. It's not a short wipe, both front and back do a sort of half arsed, slow range of motion before stopping at random point on the window.

I have the car booked in with the local MG garage to have a look due to it being under warranty but I have to wait until the end of November!

Anyone have an idea of what might cause this issue?

had that happen decades ago on my old car when water ingress caused short between cables but front ad rear wipers should not have the same wiring ... you know, when you see the car in front brake and then all kind of lights go off instead of brake lights ..

I would try a 12V battery disconnect to see if a system re-boot would help.
Worth a try.
