Xpower, the right choice?

Ok i will try and get my vin number when i speak to the dealer that has my car, not such an issue for me as i am leasing so technically not ever going to be my car as it stands but if i gel well with it i would always seek to buy it from them.
I assume they all sit at Portbury dock, unless MG have a holding compoud somewhere else.
Correct, Hendy are ordering it from Bristol. You might also find that the VIN is listed on the Finance agreement, it was on mine.

As mine is a lease i do not think it is but i will go check ?.

Edit, nope no vin, will find out when i hear from dealer.

Bit of good news. Hendy/Pool contacted their operations manager and he was able to confirm it's a Nov 29th build, which is certainly after the august update. They have even cc'd me into their internal emails for reassurance ?
Hats off to them! For anyone else in the same position, I would highly recommend them given the lengths they have gone to, plus price offered.

Good news.

Just changed from Mg4 Trophy to X-Power.
Better ride than Mg4. Scary power and speed.
Seems more economical than Mg4 but maybe me doing more careful.
Got ex demonstrator for just under £26, few marks which dealer fixed and 8 months old with under 4000 miles. Nice care for money

£26 is an absolute bargain ?

Don't buy an XP and drive around on eco, if that's your choice of Mode, best save your cash and buy an SE. For me it was never anything to do with novelty but pure necessity. Our drive (like so many others these days) emerges on to a very busy A road and trying to safely join the road has just got perilous beyond all measure. Time and again I would find myself being horn blasted by lunatic's arriving from either direction (on blind bends, both ways) at way over the 50mph limit, because even though in my previously quick car (a Fiat Abarth) I was caught with wheels spinning and just not enough acceleration. Now with my faithful XP those days have long gone, to the extent where great has to be taken to avoid ramming the passing Car up the backside!! Had her six months now and still the most exciting Car ever owned - just love it.

It took me a second test drive to start to feel comfortable with the power, but ended up enjoying it! The wife I am certain will stick to Eco, I just needed to get over the initial shell shock of breaking the sound and light barriers on my test drive.

Other factors were the extra bells and whistles, I much prefer the interior and exterior of the Xpower. Given the price I was offered, it was only another £30ish a month compared to a Trophy, so ended up feeling like a no brainer.

Personally I think your wife should leave it on normal, I think Eco is a bit under powered when pulling out into fast traffic for me

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Eco mode does not limit power.

It just dulls the pedal feel.

Go on I dare you.

Put your energy distribution screen on, put it in Eco mode, and when clear, bury the throttle!

You will then be going very, very quickly and using all 4 wheels to do it! ?

TBF I can drive my Xpower like a granny in Sport mode, it just needs a gentle and sensitive right foot and not much throttle. Lead boots not required ?. I usually do this when it’s wet and slippy as the AWD is more in full play in Sport mode with all the fancy torque vectoring etc. ? so should have more grip.
