Year 4 Service Price

I'm convinced a big chunk of the servicing ( ~£176/hour ) costs here has to be the horrendous labour rates charged. We now have to have what must be relatively highly paid, trained 'technicians' capable of working on cars that are both high voltage electric, electronically complicated and ICE powered. Boosted for the 4th year here by the two automatic gearboxes needing their oil and filter change at that point. Bet no salesmen ever hint at these servicing prices in their sales spiel.

Yeah, my Dealer said around £150 to £200 per service, depending on which service, but I reckon he was quoting the previous MG3, the non-hybrid model.

Morning MG Clive. Your insurance quotes are very low, could I ask who you are insured with? My renewal on my Hyndai Bayon was £ 831, up from last year's £ 415, and on enquiring about the MG3 Hybrid they quoted £ 1056! 13+ years no claims and driving for 55 years.

We picked ours up last week. Insurance (in my wife's name - she's 68, been driving for 40 years with 15 year NCB) was £260 with AAIS.

Just had a quote for a service plan from dealer. Quoted below.
(I have just checked with the service plan team. The 3-year service plan is £952.16 (27.99 a month) and the 4 year service plan is £1471 (33.49 a month) total so it's a slight jump as it will be a bigger service but it isn't close to the £950 mark.
He says that is a discount of aroung £130. I haven't decided whether to accept or not yet.

Shop around. I was originally quoted around 950, eventually got three year plan for 750. Also, as Big ears says, get rid at three years.

Got my new MG3 SE on 31/07/22 and was quoted £668 with Hastings a few weeks before without a reg.Didn't know exactly when I could pick the car up until the day before.Guess what insurance went up to £707.What a rip off.
Saying that got the car for £17170 in white.That was the deal.Never had a white car before but love it.

Have been looking at getting a service plan for my MG3 Trophy on the MG website. Everything seems acceptable price wise until the year 4 service which is priced at £940 .
This obviously seems expensive but does anyone on here know why it’s so much , is it something to do with the battery ?

I have just had my 3rd service on a plan, ask about redoing, my dealer workshop person said you find a 3 would be over £1000 which was correct but did tell me that the next service 4th would be around £750 as to day as many fluids have to be drained down and replaced coolant for the battery coolant for electric motor brake fluids engine coolant gear box which all takes time and time is money.
