My Zappi charger has been in situ for about 2 years with no issues until i invested in a 5.2kw Giv Energy home battery to go along with my existing solar panels. I'm on the Intelligent octopus go tariff from 23:30 to 0630 for car / home batttery charging. I choose eco + charge on the Zappi, the display reads 'waiting for surplus' and usually the charge kicks in at 11:30 and is completed in the early hours, the display reads 'charge completed'.
However since installing the battery occasionally the Zappi will draw power from the home battery , typically this will add 3kw about 12mls of charge. The Zappi display reads charge completed but only 3kw has been added.
This is a known issue and is highlighted in the Zappi troubleshooting guide which states the solution is to install a Henley Bridge which is a spitter and prevents the Zappi from draining the battery. Just wondered if anyone else had experienced this problem ? Cheers Graham

Or you just set your house battery to charge from 2330-0530.
By moving your CT clamp you can also blind your inverter to the Zappi when it draws current so it doesn't drain the house battery.

If you've got plenty of time available you could read Rolfe's thread about her system.

There is plenty of discussion in there about the Zappi-givenergy issue.
