I have read in several threads that the AS-22-025 bulletin is an update that addresses the issue of bricking when charging from a rapid charger, this happened to me once and I am now nervous to charge using anything above 7kw.

I asked my dealership about this update and they said "The AS-22-025 bulletin is for a new mandatory technician training pathway"

Have I got the correct number?

Part of that training is to probably apply all new up dates to the car?

There is now a bulletin to dealers, asking them to check the software on these specific ECUs prior to handover, and update if necessary:
• VCU
• EV
• CCU
• BMS
• TC

If you are worried about any potential charging issues, please ask your dealer to check/update these (particularly if you took delivery of your facelift ZS EV before May 22).

That will stop the silly pricing for updates as we had with the comfort update. Quite right for MG and it’s dealers to keep the cars software update and safe. It also helps keeps owners loyal too!

Well, I asked the dealership to look into this upgrade and they have asked their tech guru to look into whether there are any updates and come back to me...For the moment it is a waiting game...

The dealer will not know what software version is on your cars various ecu's until they plug it in to their computer

That’s a good point. Let’s see what they come back with and I’ll arrange to go there and get it checked.

It merely mandates them to do something they could have done anyway if they so desired.
