With the more adventurous Orange paint way out in front, I suspect those who picked this colour are most likely from the younger demographic.
I think the MG4 overall will attract more younger customers to the showroom.

That would be an interesting Poll to see - age ranges of people who have ordered, and by colour?

Or even age groups, should some be a little shy or confused with their mental age versus physical age :)
Well, I fall into the , ahem, more mature age group and I've gone for the Volcano Orange colour simply because I think it suits the car better.

My dealer rang me a few days ago to say that his initial batch, due in September, contains a Volcano Orange Trophy, but it's going to be their showroom display model. He instead offered me a black, white or red one from the initial batch, but SWMBO put her less than dainty foot down, so we're having to wait an extra 4 to 5 months for the Orange version

Oh no….. well I am no young’un, early fifties, I too want the Orange. Been told that I could have the pick off the bunch, we will see. Do not even know What colours or Specs my dealer has been allocated yet :(

I went for the red, just hope it's not too crimson bright, but will be happy to switch to blue, grey or anything but black or white.
I wonder if the dealers ever swop their allocated cars around between them to satisfy customer orders quicker?

I suspect multi-location dealer chains will, but probably not the independants.

I would imagine that would be doable down the line, However I doubt they will be doing that at Launch, or any time before Christmas.

When I went into my dealer last week he said they had 3 cars coming on the first batch. There was a car they could sell that was a Trophy (which is what I wanted) and the colour was orange. I snapped his finger off and was happy with anything except black so I'm delighted. Lets see how things turnout.

I’m getting the red, too, as my first choice of grey has been nabbed by the person in front of me. From the photos and videos, online, it looks pretty nice. Slightly deeper; more like a raspberry colour.

Yes it looks a slightly darker shade of red with metallic glints, but I'll settle for most colours, even the Trophy Orange if I really have too, though agree it is 'boy racer'. Wouldn't be my first orange car ...

But that was the 1970's! Had so much fun in that Datsun! If I could get back half the energy and a quarter of the libido I had back then, I'd go for Trophy Orange :):):)

Based on our location and the likely MG dealer nearest to us, I'm sorry to say it's almost certainly me that nabbed the Camden Grey. But Dynamic Red was also my second choice. Great minds think alike!

Just waiting to hear from Aiden at the dealership on when can schedule the test drive. Currently, they're hoping for mid-September.

Hi Dirk. If you were number two on his list, then yes, it was you. Number one went with the orange, I think. I’m still undecided if I am happier with the red than I would have been with the grey. I think the red is more adventurous and also more of a spiritual colour for a sporty looking MG. Grey on the other hand, is more elegant and understated. Regardless, I’m sure we will both be happy whatever we end up getting. A shame that the Horsham MG dealer didn’t survive. They would be reaping the benefits in the years to come, as I suspect this new platform of cars will be best sellers.

By the way, both of our cars should be on British soil, as the ship, Titus, has now left Southampton, for Zebrugge.

…and that’s a Datsun Sunny!

The only orange car, that I would conceivably consider is this:

I am guessing you are one of our teenage members in order to be able to get in and out of that!

Sadly my Gammy knee and back would not be able to navigate the entering and alighting process through the windows :)

I wonder if the MG4 has an identity crisis. Or maybe it is a very good chameleon. The favourite colour so far is boy racer louche orange yet the second most popular colour is a very restrained, sober and dignified grey. What’s going on here? The public needs to know.

I suspect the identity crisis is in us drivers. Scratch any elderly driver with dodgy joints and a calm nature and you will find a boy racer underneath pining for days or yore :)
