New MG4 Shipment?

Grande Houston arrived a couple of days after the Goodwood and my SE on the Goodwood is due at the dealer this Friday, they seem to take 2-3 weeks to get to the dealer.

Anj32, which arrives in Lianyungang - the closest port to the SAIC factory, looks interesting assuming that it will come to the UK. It could arrive around mid December

I got a call to say mine was ready to pick up the 12th. I emailed to say is this correct and then they responded no this is just a rough date. Does this mean it might be longer?

Perhaps they are waiting for a delivery of the modified breather and to fit it before the car is given to you but aren't sure when that'll be.

i was originally told 5th but due to dock strikes it could be the 12th and that is all the text said (which I have now deleted) because im just preparing for them to delay it further

just did a quick search on portbury's arrivals page and worked out some ships of interest (if you are interested that is)
With the Stena Ebba picking up some MG's in Yantai I thought id include all ships that have had a port stop in China in the hope that MG will use the first available transports.

Anyone know when the next shipment of MG4s is due to arrive in the UK every dealer I have asked has given a different answer ?

As previously posted, I pre-ordered in August for MG4 Red Trophy. Was told it would be on the first ship - wasn't. Told it would be next - wasn't. Now told it still to be manufactured so will be at least January so don't hold your breath. I was told by the dealer that for some reason, MG are not actually releasing allocations to dealers until they are at least on the ship so it would appear different dealers are giving different stories because they don't actually know and are making unfounded assumptions

I'm in the same position. Waiting on a black SE Long Range. Assuming the stock is on this ship that's just docked. Keeping an eye out here and on my dealerships Facebook for any activity. I plan to chase them up next week if there's no clear progress.

How long does it take from docking to unload, schedule, pick-up and deliver vehicles to dealers? I'm wondering if my car (which is supposed to arrived at the dealer today) was actually on the Grand Venus.

Interesting. I ordered a red Trophy on 26 August and no news. Dealer at the time said hopefully by year end but guaranteed by end of Q1 next year.

Thing is, I originally ordered a Citroen E-C4 back in March with expected delivery of August. I was then told it was going to be quicker (June). Citroen then changed their minds to August then November so I cancelled that order. Later found exact same car (colour and spec) on another Citroen dealership forecourt only 10 miles away - was so cross that they got one but my dealer was still waiting months. I'd also pre-ordered a Nissan Ariya (to see which would come first) and was told would be in first batch as soon as released in August but then told at least December - so Cancelled that as well. I know there are shortages and long delays but it's the false promises and expectations the dealers are giving that is annoying everyone.
I've since ordered a VW ID5 which was already available and enrolee from Germany so should have that anytime now (as long as not another false promise!!)
