That's pretty poor to be fair, hopefully there is a reason they stopped using them when the car went into full production

Do we have any proof they stopped using them? Can anyone with the same model tell if they are fitted on their vehicle or not? If not fitted it is a QA issue not a missing part. Over to another owner for confirmation please

Alan

OK so it could just be a missing part(s) that the dealership needs to order in to resolve this decorative finishing issue? Let's not jump the gun on not fitting them until we see more evidence

Alan

I have not seen the plastic covers on any other MG4.

Just to avoid misunderstandings, I am talking about the window frame near to the front mirrors. The plastic covers in the upper window frame corner are present.

Confusion reigns...can owners look at their drivers door and see if plastic trim is fitted on any corner of the door or any corner of the frame inside or out. The earlier pictures, in my mind, are confusing re position of welds and possible trim....help

It looks like from the first set of pictures it is the front of the door...no trims just poor finishing and the other picture is rear of the doors with trim. Is that correct?

If the first set of pictures are the door rears at the top then yes just missing trims!

So Chris, confusion re trims ends. The front where you have the issue is trimless in all vehicles. You car has poor finishing by the looks of it but I would want reassuring from the dealership that it's not structural and just finishing. Given it is not structural they should be able to sort this out easily in their bodyshop I would hope.

Hi Alan,

thanks. Reassurance reg. structural stability and corrosion is exactly what I am aiming for. Once that's settled I'll be good, when the final paint job is ?.

I am glad thought to see this is not an widespread issue.

Chris

In Australia, the MG4 does have a rear windscreen wiper.
Here and the rest of the world to, if it is a 2023 model (what we cal phase 2) as 2022 models do not have it (do not be confused of 22 and 23, it is not the year they are produced but actuall model designations).
