The day after I got Red home I noticed a chip on the edge of the bonnet. Contacted the dealer and booked it in straight away.
On talking with the dealer when he picked it up he said it was probably the valeters when they were getting it ready. So I said "Why didn't they put them in the 'service position'?". To which he replied "How do you do that?" (page 300 of the manual).
This got me thinking: Who else is likely to lift the wiper blade arm? Me (if they are stuck to the screen), parking wardens (haven't had a parking ticket for a long while, but the wife got one the other day, valeters/hand car wash people, and those who put advertising leaflets on your car. So how do I protect the bonnet edge?
I've settled on this:
