Xpower as a hot hatch

As posted elsewhere, EV6 went yesterday so attention now turns to the XPower. Went out for a short drive today and was very enjoyable. Ride quality is good, yes its firm but not uncomfortable or harsh.
My wife was in the passenger seat and giggled a couple of times at the acceleration. However on one occasion I got the full Sunday name and told that “this road is not suitable for that type of driving” Needless to say she is now banished to using the bus…..

Only posted as he says "Hot Hatch" a lot.?

I have to say this is/was the oddest review of the x-power I've seen yet. When he sat his mum in it I saw a Civic Type R in the back of the shot (a white one) and I thought hang on, is she some kind of secret hardcore track addict but no, she has an ST-Line fiesta. Plus he nearly cleared up a load of cyclists by throwing it into that corner too quickly. If I were editing the video that wouldn't have gone in...

Me too! ?
Oddest couple I've seen reviewing anything!!!

I do wish they W.D.T.F.R before moaning about anything.
Unable to turn off the car for example. ?

And yes, why they left in the near wipe out baffles me too!!!

To be honest I didnt watch it all the way through as they were annoying me. Will fast forward to the near wipeout!

Just watched and should have edited out!

Your passengers won't be impressed if you drive the bus like that either ?

I've had my back end step out slightly when booting out of a roundabout in the wet, definitely not LKA as it was turned off. I stick to Sport mode now when it's wet and I want a "spirited" drive, as I think the front motor (and wheels) are always engaged, so you get AWD all the time. Or am I wrong ? ?

Exactly this M8.
I also pop "her" into Sport when something is on!
The back can still let go in the wet, especially if you are asking too much, (which I frequently am)

Always on a quick change of direction though, and lifting off the throttle, so to be expected really.

The 4wd system can't avoid the laws of physics indefinitely ?

Traction on power though, regardless of the conditions has been extremely impressive.

I've even been "Green laning" in mine!!!?

Just come back from an early morning shopping trip in order to beat the hordes! On way back was stuck behind a small queue of cars on a 40mph road. Then turned onto 3 lane 60mph road, I then safely over took i.e. blasted past them. However a guy in an old Jaguar S Type who was in the queue was clearly not impressed, he then overtook at way over the 60mph limit. A voice from the passenger seat then said “ Ha we will leave you for dust mate”……..

Funny how some people just don't like being overtaken, end of. Personally doesn't bother me at all, coz I know I can blow them away at any time and that's enough for me, BUT occasionally they just have to be put in their place, don't they? ??

Funnily enough I nearly got written off by some grumpy of arse in an old Volvo - he didn't like me overtaking him and the lorry in front of him and pulled out as I did. Car went wild and slammed on. Then proceeded to block the dual carriageway (by lane splitting) so I couldn't get past while he drove 10mph under the limit.

If by any chance you're reading this, you stuff old c-word, the dash cam video is already on its way to the coppers.

Used to get this sort of thing a lot in previous hot hatches because they were loud and brash - but thought things like this would chance with a grey-non-descript looking car.

EDIT: and nah I won't be sharing the video on here.

Classic case for one of these to pop up out of your bonnet. Job done, he won't be doing that again. ???
