I'm perfectly happy to agree to disagree ... as I know for a fact that I am 100% correct.

Model year 24 with wipers and bigger wheels not MY23.
It's possible that @Rattly and @siteguru are both right in that the car was manufactured in 2024 but it's the 2023 specification.Nope ... MY22 was the first phase; the second phase of the MG4 (rear wiper, 3rd rear head rest, OPD, bigger wheels on the Trophy) came out in 2023 so was Model Year 23. There have been no MG4 updates so far in 2024 hence no MY24 cars.![]()
Not according to MG who describe the current model as MY24. Humility can be a gift.I'm perfectly happy to agree to disagree ... as I know for a fact that I am 100% correct.![]()
As I (and others) have said ... there have only been two specifications* (to date) during the life of the MG4 - the original 2022 specification, and the 2023 update. Any cars supplied or built during 2024 are still to the 2023 specification, hence Model Year 23 (MY23) as opposed to Manufactured Year. Not according to MG who describe the current model as MY24. All car manufacturers release updates mid to late year. On ice cars it’s October and despite being 2023 are designated MY2024. The update due late summer/autumn this year will be MY2025 cars as has always been the case.As I (and others) have said ... there have only been two specifications* (to date) during the life of the MG4 - the original 2022 specification, and the 2023 update. * I don't mean SE vs Trophy etc.
Coming back to the original post, I decided on ID3 (77kwh) rather than MG4, and so far (early days) I'm very happy (I'm coming from MG5). The promised mileage seems to be true, the car is very efficient up to 65-70mph, pleasure to drive, easy to charge and very comfortable. Here's a photo from the trip from the dealer - it's all motorway, but it was busy with roadworks & rush hour hence low average speed.
Thanks, this one is exactly 3 years old, what kind of issues did you get?I loved mine, until I didn't, I just had too many problems that they all seem to suffer from around the 3 year mark.
Hope your ID.3 turns out to be more reliable than mine was.
