Hey guys,

I recently got a 2023 MG ZS EV, I love it, but it does one little annoying thing.

I have my phone connected to it via bluetooth, mainly just for calls, not often for music, I usually just listen to the radio. But whenever I get a notification of any kind on my phone, the infotainment system automatically switches the audio source to bluetooth, which I have to switch back manually every time. This can be quite annoying if the group chat is blowing up :)

Does anyone know of a setting I've missed to turn that off?

the setting for this are on your phone, the car is doing exactly what it's supposed to. On your phone Bluetooth connections setting you can set it what the car controls - calls, media ...etc.

EDIT: that includes notifications, also on your phone settings. Setup your phone first how to notify you of new chat messages or any other notification and then just let the car connect to your phone as it should and enjoy the ride ...
control audio source via Infotainment screen or even easier SRC button on your steering wheel...

Hey, thanks for the reply.
The only settings available on my phone are whether to connect for calls, whether to connect for music, and contacts sharing.
I want to allow music, I use it sometimes, I just don't want it to switch source automatically, like every other car I've ever driven.
If this is just how the MG works, then I can work around it, it would just be nice to have it work differently.
