Battery Life down to 242 miles rather than 275

as an aside, how do you programme the * button to do the mode change please
Also, for info, 23 XSEV LR recently loaded up with 328miles on an overnight charge

We did our first 100% charge in our MG4 LR ahead of a few days away. On the way home we watched google maps counting down along with range remaining falling. Arrived home with 31 miles left after 230 miles driven. Hopeful it'll get us the 190 miles ho the Poole ferry terminal in one go. Hoping the 12 kw charger at Poole railway station is free for a top up while we dine pre-crossing.
And you will only get approaching 12kW if you have an early 3 phase LR MG4 (the one without the rear wiper) otherwise you will only get around 6kW.

I would suggest checking the availability of other chargers in the area, rather than rely on the availability of one charger. Larger capacity 50kwh or better would be more beneficial for a faster charge.
That might be sensible. We have only once plugged in to a public charger to see how it worked - plugged in and tapped bank card to start, decided on a %age to stop at by tapping card again, then disappointed there was a minimum £ charge of £15 and we'd only drawn £12 worth!

You may find some companies take a security deposit, BP charge £45 against your card before you start. However you are only charged for electricity used and the £45 disappears as pending against your account, a few days later. Thats what happened in my case anyway.

Thanks for the heads up.
Taking the MG4 to Normandy next month so French chargers to try out.

Get an electroverse card from Octopus, especially if going to France. You do not get pre-charged and also get a discount. Most French chargers work with this card (you can check on their map if in doubt) and it is very easy to use. Might be a good idea to also download the Tesla app, Their map shows chargers you can use, very easy.
