MG ZS EV 2023 Drivers Leather seat cracking ....

Good evening , Has anyone else had issues with leather seat cracking ?
Our Mg has only done 14,000 miles . My husband uses leather cream conditioner on all the leather in the car ?
Looked up warranty only covers first 12 months or 15,000 miles .

I am very upset about this

Is that a seat? There is a full thread discussing this... Weak point, I am so conscious of how much pressure I put on that part of the seat each time I get in and out...
There is a full thread discussing this, search for seats on ZS forum, quite a few posts...... Weak point on the seats, takes too much pressure each time you get in and out or could have been caught by something ?... Mine is still ok after 45,000 miles but I'm extra careful...

His action has to be condemned, but unfortunately the seat coverings on the ZS EV are not of a real animal skin / hide material.
More of what is generally regarded as vegan leather / pleather type material, these days ?.
More plastic / vinyl rather than a real hide produce in regard’s to its make up really.
Therefore using a quality leather conditioner is some what wasted on this type of vinyl material unfortunately.
The level of plastic / vinyl used in these seat coverings, can be pretty obvious in very hot weather conditions.
When leaving the car, it is extremely common to find, that the bottom of your back feels damp and is a typical side effect of the material not being able to breathe correctly.
The man made material may look very similar to leather, but there the similarities end.

ZS EV Trophy seat is comfortable. It is with lips on side to hold driver body more secure.
Because the thin lips on side of seat are high, it can be rubbed hard when getting into the car. The damage looks like printed coat on fabric wore out instead of cracking. Would you confirm?

I will raise my body higher for avoiding rubbing seat too hard when sliding into seat. I intend to keep my ZS for 15+ years.
 
Ours has now finally got a few tiny cracks in too too. Have always tried to be careful.
Very annoying
 
I had this problem 3 yrs ago on my ZS EV. I just got a replacement bottom cover for it. You will have a few more problems to come with door seals wearing out. With my car been used as a Taxi I can get a fair idea of what you have coming with wear n tare.

To be honest I'm extremely surprised that the Pedant Master has not had a go at this.
Perhaps he's on holiday @siteguru? ?

That is the design pattern on the seat .
My husband puts foil screen protecter on windscreen on very hot days and leaves boot open .

didnt expect to get Tesla quality .... but did expect more than a year @£34,000
