Should I get a Xpower

Please stop spamming the same info across several threads.
Apologies, I've searched on "vibration" and posted to threads where this has been mentioned. I do not work for RejectMyCar, although I am participating in the Group Litigation. I'm just trying to disseminate the info to those who may previously been erroniously advised that they don't have cause to claim.

That's not a problem - and this is turning into a pitch, but RejectMyCar don't just deal with one issue. There are other ongoing cases with the manufacturer. Anybody can make contact with no obligation as their fees are success based.

Please, siteguru, just remove my posts if you feel so inclined as I believe answering these questions is digging my hole deeper! ?

Bit of an update on this.
very close to jumping for changing my trophy for a new xpower. (owned for 2 years)
Theres a deal on a new one at 28k cash.
unfortunately when the dealer comes smiling at me with the pcp deal to change my car, the 'new car price' has jumped to £30k.

Would I be better off with the newer/better car financially (I know a pcp is still a loan on a depreciating asset !) or to pay off my existing pcp and keep the car I have.

Also is there any info on the 25 model year cars, or change upcoming?

Don't pay, 30 or even 28 grand for a new one. There's X Power's out there for 25 grand, brand new. 🙂👍

Such as this one.

To be fair most brand new ones are around 28k mark , they seem a bit dearer than they were a couple of months ago, the Lease deals around when i got mine are long gone.
X power leases now are well expensive.

The more horror stories I read about leasing costs at hand back the more worried I am about my choice of leasing Vs a year old purchase. If the stories of thousands of quid for minor wear and tear are true I'm not sure why anyone ever has more than their first lease.

Far too much of a 'subscription' culture which in the end can cost much more than the 'attractive' entry points reveal.

BVRLA Guidelines ... that's what matters. Many lessees aren't aware of them so the lease companies try to "pull a fast one".

Any other cheap new xpowers spotted.

Im still a bit bemused why the purchase price has gone up from the screen 'sticker' price of around £27... to £30k on the paperwork. when I asked the dealer it was because of the pcp option and not a cash buy.
surely a screen price is the screen price regardless of the financing option used ???

Done 2 leases before, zero extra costs at hand back. Tesla had 2 big chips in rear bumper i touched in but were noticable, Lex never charged me for this.
For me with the MG4 it was a no brainer, Leasing company got car for around 39% discount so lease was cheap( £5500) over 24 months cost to me, car would lose more.

I have options also, i can extend up to 5 years or buy the car off them at any point.
Leasing company taking financial risk on what it will lose, i could afford to buy one for cash if i wanted but would rather keep my savings invested and use someone else’s money.

Here is my Tesla report from November, 2 big bumper chips 10mm wide took paint off will need touching in and flatting and polishing, cost was just £26 but Lex never did action this charge.
Regarding buying, the Tesla lease cost me 15k over 3 years( was not the best deal at time) but at year 3 before i handed back i had option to buy it for £21,000. That plus the lease cost would be £36,000. Car new was £40,000 at time of getting it.
I am guessing at 2 years old the X Power will be around 20k to buy, that plus my £5,500 lease cost would make the car cheap.

The only thing MG have said might be happening in 2025 is the introduction of solid state batteries for the MG4. There is no info as to when in 2025 this would happen and which models in the range would be impacted as these are still quite a pricey option.

Many of the advertised (lower) prices are for members of the Emergency Services, Local Authority Employees, NHS workers, and the Armed Forces, so if you're in one of these groups you can definitely get a new XPower for a decent price.
