Well, it's here!
Initial inspection shows it to be all good, no damage. Only had a superficial clean by the dealer by the looks of it with lots of nooks and crannies missed and it's obviously been sat a while somewhere quite dirty, but I'm fine with that, the less a dealer cleans it the better, less chance of scratching it up! I'll detail it properly over the coming days.
Whenever I buy a new car, I always seem to find the number plates to have been badly fitted, and this car didn't disappoint! They were just hilarious, crooked, off centre, the front one already cracked during fitting, and all the drilled holes had torn away the reflective backing around them from incompetent drilling technique. They looked like a half trained chimp had fitted them, scary to think whoever did it probably also services our cars! Still at least they used the factory holes and didn't drill any new ones in the tailgate metal! (I pre-empted any risk of this by insisting they didn't drill on pain of rejection, as I think they just might have!)
Front plate is in the dustbin now where it belongs, with the rear kept just in case I need it for a trailer at some point and new, high quality, 140mm deep replacements that will actually suit the cars Chinese format mountings are on order.
Number plates aside, I really liked the salesman, a nice guy. I was also pleasantly surprised to get floor mats, and a Type 2 cable included along with the Granny Charger!
