Navigation showing on infotainment display (excite model)

Hi,Our one year old Excite had its 1 service today.After getting it back my wife has noticed that the AC Controls on the right side of the screen have disappeared and now shows Navigation in its place,pressing the navigation does nothing.Is there a way to move this back to the way it was.I thought the Excite model doesn't have GPS anyway.I am on R38 at the moment.Any ideas.

Sounds like the dealer has done updates but not done them properly.

Thanks for the reply,could you elaborate more,just so i have more to say when i call them.Does the SR have GPS or does any other SR owner have the Navagation panel on their screen.Thanks again

Is that after the update? It's SWI69 1100R38 which should match a 22/23 MY with low trim level (i.e. excite in the UK).

I'll check later from the computer to be sure

Yes that's after the update,that's if he done one,not sure what it was before it went in.

That seems the correct version, dunno what he did to be honest. I'd suggest you do a factory reset of the infotainment to see if that solves the issue, otherwise it's back to the dealer so that they can sort it out

I believe there are two possible scenarios: either they mistakenly updated to a version like R63 intended for other models, and then, when they realized it, reverted to R38, but for some reason, the navigation system remained visible and installed. Or there’s a chance that the navigation system might also be included in some way in R38, but it’s hidden, and they somehow unlocked it.

Thanks for the replies,it's booked in on Fri to rectify hopefully,will get back to you all with some info to what they done, if they know what they have done that is

Just to get back to you about this issue.Wife took this morning,they had it for an hour and basically we have been told that this is the latest update.Asked whats the point in Navigation being on there if we can not use it,just said there's nothing we can do.

To be honest, no.i did press the navigation and it just said home has not been set and couldn't find another link on the screen to do that.Then 1st read that SR models do not have GPS.Mines a 2024 so not sure now.Is there a tuition link anywhere on how to set up Navigation.Im not good with new tech,well it's new tech to me.

Maps do work through Android but I think that just mirroring the phone?

2024 model does have maps on the SE

Just an update,After my local Dealer made contact with MG Head Office,i have now been told to bring car back in for some sort of configuration test so obviously Navigation is not suppose to be on 2024 SR Models.
