MG ZS EV Shipping Updates

Not sure if someone else mentioned this, but find it really funny how this job opening even shows MG's

I remember someone saying that every dealer has to have the car fully charged before you take delivery of it. Nissan fully charge there cars but you can always ask your dealer when your car arrives that you would like it fully charged. They should considering how long we all have to wait for them.
 
I have news from China that may be relevant. Due to the long wait for the wife's new MG ZS EV LR I've decided to convert and old motorbike to battery power son that we will both be able to commute on electric powered vehicles. To convert the motorbike I've ordered parts from China via Aliexpress. Many components from 4 different companies. 2 shipped straight away, 1 after a week and the 4 with the majority of the parts asked for a 2 week postponement to shop my goods due to logistical delays caused by covid and strict lockdowns in China. The guy from the company was very helpful when he messaged me. My stepson lives in Hong Kong and tells us frequently how strict the lockdowns are there. Basically nobody at all can even go to work.

I've been looking at the MG5, I ordered my wife's MG ZS EV back in December and was tempted by the 5. Bit sad I didn't jump on it as it was 0%. Now they are 3.6% and about 2/3 grand more expensive. Thought I'd wait for the facelift now.

In other news still waiting for the ZS but the charger looks lovely on the front of my house.

I have ordered with Chorley back in Nov 21. I was told I should be able to get it in February/March time but when March came I was told that there is a delivery delay and can expect to get it in around May/June time. When and what model did you order please?

Was this for LR or SR? I know Frank Keane seem to have 1 or 2 ads on carzone for Standard Range but no long range. The rest of the MG dealers in Ireland seem to have all pulled their ads for LR for the last few weeks. Im trying to track as many Vehicle Carries as I can on AIS Ship Tracker. The issue is that Ireland does not get direct car transports from China. I think (but dont quote me on this) that they come from Shanghai to UK and then Belgium (Zeebrugee) or Shanghai to Zeebrugee directly. The cars are then unloaded for Europe, including Ireland so have to be reloaded onto another transport from Zeebrugee back to Ireland, the reason for this is Brexit so they dont have to pay an additional tax. Next car transport due in from Zeebrugee is today (Malacca Highway) but there is no way to know if its got MG's on it or not unless you track back to what was in port with this ship while it was docked in Zeebrugge! Just have to keep fingers and toes crossed. I'd really just like to start seeing them on the roads here, I havent seen a single one on the roads since I ordered in January. It would just give me hope that mine is on its way if i saw them out in the wild!
 
I'm in Northern Ireland and I think there are 3 MG dealers here. We test drove ours in SERE at Belfast but I beat the monthly payments by around £120 a month by ordering in Glasgow. I have no idea if the Northern Ireland dealers get their stock via UK or Ireland. Glasgow for me is a 2 hour ferry trip and an hours drive, so handy enough for the savings made. Also in NI but not really relevant to me, we don't have registration letter/number changes twice a year so those dates aren't important at all here. My wife has her personal plates to put on anyway so March and August dates are of no importance.

A petrol Zs Exclusive on October 28 I have had the same reply when I have asked
 
Ordered from the LR Trophy in Red from Chorley in Burnley on February 7th and was told May.
Just after ordering I was told June. I was told that again in March.
A couple of weeks ago I got an email saying August now.
