What is wrong with your MG3-Hybrid (ONLY)

It would be nice if we could see the main start button without having to peer round behind the steering wheel. If I could easily see that little green light I might not keep getting out of the car which then beeps when attempting to lock it !
Yes, such a simple thing would make life much easier, I've even thought about moving it to a more accessible position.

....

Satnav useless without live traffic.
SATNAV, based on IGO luna, has a live traffic function as well as radars
Of course, this live traffic is provided by the internet connection of your smartphone COUPLED ( BLUETOOTH) AND connected to your MG3.

Here's what I'd like on my MG3 (which I also like):

1) a courtesy light at the rear.

2) a 1/3 folding rear seat and a flat floor.

3) A flashing red light indicating that the MG3's alarm is on.

4) A SOUND alarm linked to the blind spot detection function in the rear-view mirror.

5) Larger, more legible digits on the driver's instrument panel: regeneration 1,2,3 in particular.

6) Normal indicator noise that is not masked by another alarm, such as exceeding the speed limit.

7) a trip A (between 2 fill-ups), B and C (total) mileage management system that is more flexible than the one on offer.

8) Coverage of the windscreen wiping surface could be better.

Non-exhaustive list

I fully agree;
from 1) to 5) = fundamental.

Tell me about it, wife keeps laughing saying what you done now it's telling you off again.

In the silence, any noise can be heard.
The pockets and door bins have no rubber protection,
any object placed badly creates noise. If you can't arrange the objects you've placed correctly, you can buy some adhesive rubber mats at a low price in any supermarket, cut them out and apply them in the necessary places.
It happened to me too, right after I had repositioned all the necessary objects, and now there is no more noise.

Yes I've done the same in my last three cars. Thin rubber matting in the door bins, under the central screen, in the cup holders and in the armrest bin, it makes a big difference.
Mine are carpeted ;)

🗣️ This is an ENGLISH forum, please use only English.

Use, if necessary, the DEEPL application

"In Rome we do as the Romans do..."

To be fair, I've more chance of understanding that, than some of the English on here. 🤣😉🙂👍

I have no concerns. This idea that somehow it runs out if power on hills, i have never experienced, and i have a couple of very long steep uphill climbs on my way to Sydney on the M1, like over 3 kilometres where trucks struggle to get over 60 kmph. My Mg3 Hybrid breezes right past at 100kmph in cruise mode. I usually run that trip in Eco mode. I know the cars were extensively tested in Australia before released. Maybe there is a software patch.

HI all MG3 Hybrids, has anyone found an unobtrusive way of keeping rear seat belts from getting caught when returning previously opened back seat please, awkward when on your own.
Not a problem, the back seat has been down for a few days just hold the belt and push the seat back.

Yes that stupid start button does my head in.

What I used to do when stopping was press P to apply the handbrake but on Monday I forgot and just pressed the start button, which applies the handbrake so once I've trained the brain cell I'll do that in future.

Except when I forget to of course.

I was getting 50 plus MPG. I'm now only getting 28 MPG. Took back the dealers twice, 1st time it was just the same when I had it back. Last time they told me they did a systems update. And it should now be ok. I was back up to 50plus MPG which only lasted 1 week. Has anyone else got the same problem?

Hi Haydn,
The first question would be, what have the weather conditions been like, where you live and commute, particularly the temperature? The next question would be, has there been any difference between your journeys, i.e. have you been doing more short runs recently? I assume that the dealer has asked you all of this already as fuel consumption can take a hit during cold temperatures and the battery is less likely to kick in.

I have seen a big reduction in economy in the colder weather.
Whilst it's the electric motor that is still driving the car a lot of the time around town, the petrol engine is running far longer to charge the battery and supply heat to the cabin.
I find it useful to display the graphic which shows where the power is coming from and going to, on the instrument panel.
Meantime my car goes in on Monday for the third time, to have the engine emissions fault sorted out! This time they are replacing the EGR valve.
