MG4 Software Update Thread

I do the SNAKP23 Update only with USB and all Looks for me Fine.
But i get the R63 for two week from the Dealer but the Car was still on SNAKP21.
After the tbox Update I have still Connection via the App to the Car and nothing Shows broken without the SIPS Update.
Great news
Thanks for feedback

Anyone try this download link (mgtri.....) with MCU file (vipimage.bin) to check if the charging target scrollbar is working please ?

Thanks

I get the R63 from the Dealer and the Charging Target Scrollbar is NOT Working.
I need to Adjust it with the App.
With the update from dealer, I face the same issue.
But after a second visit, they update FICM (MCU) with SIPS and it works.
But with this new file with MCU inside, don't know if it could be fixed only by USB update, or if it still need SIPS

One thing to note when doing the FCIM For R63, it does say to update via SIPS once done due to config and calibration are done via SIPS;

"The Vehicle is started" it means in Ready mode or only on and in Park but not Ready Mode?

No luck reactivating the system today.

The long story:
I installed R63 a couple of days ago and everything seemed to work. Noticed yesterday that weather and the "User"-App didnt work (Error 404).
Reinstalled R59 because that one was working fine for the last weeks.
Upon restart the Start-Page with the widgets was completely empty.
Did a factory reset and the system now looks normal.
Weather and User-App however still not working.
Reseted the activation info. Trying to reactivate gives the 'TSP doesnt have car info'-Error. However, i too think that it is a server-side problem.
Now i am stuck with no navigation, no weather, no User-app.
Internet is working fine, because Amazon Music is working and the iSmart Remote Control does work too.
Did you update the Infotainment System ECU first, then do the AVN?

Seems that is the way to do it when upgrading, I did try this back to R59 and had the same issue but did only do the AVN first. But since the server issue I haven't bothered messing with much since.

However potentially the hotfix for the TBOX might "fix" something who knows.

My main concern is that those pages used to be behind a login redirect, by publicly sharing them they might disappear whereas if they were utilised without sharing they would likely be kept accessible along with any new versions to be released

I removed the link from my post…

That means they've changed the configuration options for the car.

They get stored on a separate partition to the system software and only ever get changed by SIPS downloading a new file from MG. Android only reads those values.

I have a problem, I can't install R46 or R59, when I click on AVM MPU it gives me an error and can't find the file, this doesn't happen if I try with R63. What am I doing wrong?

When updating from r46 to r59 i did the avnmpu first and then the ecu. Seemed to work.
From r59 to r63 i did not touch the ecu at all.
From r63 back to r59 i did not touch the ecu.
