Diagnostic VDI, VNCI, MDI with MG4

Can you do a screen recording, using like obs or even a video of the screen with your phone, when try to connecting SIPS just to see if there's something we're missing.

I have realised my laptop was what was stopping me from connecting to SIPs. I’m now on and I’m trying to reconfigure my module

Essentially as soon as I plug my laptop into charge the VNCI connection fails. Can you use wifi connection for SIPS?

Have you managed to reprogram/configure the bcm?
Yeah reprogrammed and now the car drives again - just need to sort out the new front camera and front radar. Camera doesn’t want to be calibrated and radar is showing up as ‘VIN doesn’t match’ so going to save that fun for this weekend

For "Vin doesn't match" in theory you need to use the replacement function on the unit. In this way SIPS write the VIN in the unit. And for experience I can say that if the radar have any error the calibration doesn't work

Hi,

I wanted to check for updates again on Friday,
especially because of SC77...

So I booked an hour for €7, but I couldn't log in, I kept getting the "famous" error message that a user was already logged in:

So I waited half an hour but then immediately got the same error message again.
Could it be that the SIPS servers were down or will the 30 minute countdown restart if I try to log in again after 29 minutes? The last time I tried, 5 minutes before the time was up, I got an error message that no communication with the server was possible:

Luckily I only booked an hour for €7 and not 24 hours for €19.

I forgot to say, I booked an hour, but the RMI website stated a time slot of 2 hours.

Hi

Ive gone to get access again for this new update. I logged in, then did some other stuff, went back and purchased 1 day access, processed payment through paypal, got the paypal email to say paid then the MG account said login expired, log in again. Now i dont have any access added to my account.

Emailed their support, says can take up to one day for access to be applied, but thats not been the case before.

Not sure if to buy it again and try get a refund on first purchase or wait for tech support.

I paid for an hour on Weds and SIPS refused to log me in. Tried the EPC site out of curiosity and that worked! Emailed MG for refund and just had condescending messages back to use the SNW login 🤯
Booked a day yesterday and everything was back to working as it should - XPower now completely up to date and calibrated 😊[Think I was up to 9 attempts for FVCM before it finally worked and after disconnecting battery for 1/2hr, leaving for further 1/2hr once reconnected and staying sat in the driver’s seat whilst updating, barely letting out a breath for fear of it failing again!!!]

One thing though, on the EPC site I managed to put in the VINs for both cars and download a full list of software versions with release dates - it provided an excel dump called "LOU Manage data export". However, went to look again yesterday evening and for whatever reason couldn't for the life of me see where I'd found this previously. If anyone else has done this, would be interesting to know.

Ive just paid for 24H again and access came in straight away, emailed em to ask for refund on first payment as per my last post.

However i do now have the User has logged on another computer issue. Had it last time a few months back, it sorted itself out. Hope same happens today cos at this rate i might me stuck paying twice and still not getting logged on lol.

So interestingly if i change the username to be invalid it says invalid credentials as you would expect.

However if i use correct username and some invalid password its back to you are already logged on, does not compalin about password.

Defo not right.

It's lou management under software data

You can also get a fully history of updates that have been carried out in programming

Hm... Interesting, I think credit card payment and 24 hour subscription cause the least problems!

So I paid at the end of January (when I got my VNCI) and updated my MG4.

Hi, the same thing happened to me. I emailed them, and they replied asking if I wanted to be assigned a new account or if I preferred a refund. They also explained that they are currently experiencing an issue where the password expiration is not working correctly when the assigned hour ends, so some people remain logged in even after the time has expired.

When I requested a refund, they told me to open a dispute on PayPal. Now I’m waiting for PayPal’s decision on the dispute.

I managed to apply all outstanding updates from memory IPK and the EPS among others.

Does anyone know the visible changes to the screen behind the steering wheel?

It failed once and I had no screen coming on for a while. Sorted in the end. Took over an hour on thst one.
