i know its not formally announced yet, but anyone know the battery sizes they will be offering?
As @EvTek23 said, it's using the MG4's drivetrain, so I fully expect a 77kWh "extended range" version to appear.I hope when it gets over here they bring out a bigger battery version.
If they do it would be ideal for my needs, all I wanted was a mg5 with rear wheel drive and a 70+kwh battery at a reasonable price point
Here's hoping!
i see the website has been taken down, maybe they jumped the gun slightly....Nepal beats us to it

I found it here:i see the website has been taken down, maybe they jumped the gun slightly....
It actually is slight more powerful with the long range battery as opposed to the MG4 and has a quicker 0-60 time,The motor and battery options are the same as the MG4, then.
Though it is a bigger heavier car so less nippy and range will be less.
Colours are similar to MG4 but a darker blue (like the ZS) and a silver option.
Seems competitively priced against things like the Puegeot 3008.
If it works the same as the MG4 did, give it a year and then an ER and performance version will come out,I mean, why didn't they do a quick version ala the Audi SQ5?
I would have been more interested.
Be good to see the 'better' interior coming though the range.
shame, i was hoping for an ER on launch otherwise i might be temped elsewhere. If it works the same as the MG4 did, give it a year and then an ER and performance version will come out,
The electrifying review reported that a 4wd performance car is coming, so equivalent of the XPower.I'm pretty sure an ER and X-Power versions will come, they just don't want to launch all of that at once. I'd actually be more interested in a basic 4wd version, but I doubt they will do that.
