For warranty purposes, does the servicing need to be carried out by 'specialist' EV mechanics, or can any mechanic service the vehicle?

It doesn't have to be an MG authorised garage but you won't get AA breakdown cover elsewhere.in the UK, it has to be MG authorised service and that means they should be "specialist" mechanics ...
Seems a very different set-up (warranty/servicing) in the UK compared to Australia...its seems a third party (AA, the equivalent of our NRMA, National Roads and Motorists' Association Limited) are involved? It doesn't have to be an MG authorised garage but you won't get AA breakdown cover elsewhere.
true, they only want it to be "serviced in accordance with MG’s recommendations" but in my mind that leaves me open to having to prove what my local garage was doing if I ever try claiming under warranty ... all the potential hassle combined with the value/price of AA cover, not worth risking it ...It doesn't have to be an MG authorised garage but you won't get AA breakdown cover elsewhere.

Conditions when we bought our ZS in Jan 23 (Australia).
7yr warranty
7yr roadside assist, if servicing carried out by MG service centers
2yr/40,000km service intervals.
Every 40k = $295aud
Every 80k = $810aud
To be fair, in Oz it is two yearly even if the mileage is low. And there are exclusions from the warranty, including the 12V battery.UK is a total rip-off for everything ... we have to service every year regardless of mileage, 5 y roadside assistance (from memory) and 7 y warranty but not for everything... 12v battery is 1 year, some stuff 6 months, some 1 year and some 2-3 ...
Got my HS in march 24, supposed to have 7 year fixed price service, but apparently it does not apply any more, anyone else feel cheated?MG Australia have just announced capped price service costs for all models purchased since 2016 (whole story here ) and I was interested to see the ZS EV is scheduled for services at 24 month/20,000 km intervals. Prices are $268 for the first 3 services then $807 at 96 months/80,000 km (currently equivalent to about £140 and £424), then back to $268.
That seems a bit steep for what I gather is often just a quick check/update of fluids and software but as it's only every second year it's not bad over the life of the vehicle. Any thoughts?
Edit: It appears the news item I got this info from is not completely right and it's only cars bought after July 2021 that will have this new service schedule. h/t @kesselrig

Re Tyres MG ZS LR now done 12000 km and quite happy with tyres .. went on long drive of 5000km taking the ocean roads. went around corners at e.g. twice recommended speed of 45km/h (in 100km/h zone) without any noise or losing traction (surprised how well performed) in wet much more care with acceleration as easy to break traction but no surprises yet in wet or dry.The other half has had her ZS EV since Jun last year and has clocked up 23k km. I checked the tyres a few weeks ago and found the fronts down to 2mm from the tread wear indicator. The rears were fine with plenty of rubber left. Had the fronts rotated to the back and vice versa.
Lesson learnt is that this car will need regular tyre rotations outside the 40k km/2year service intervals. The cars has Maxxis so don't know if these are poor tyres.
