All the information I can get online about using the app states “click on ‘charging’, then click on ‘charge my non-Tesla’”
I have the latest version of the app, but I don’t have a button that says that…….
Am I being stupid?
This is the first page of the app

Thank you for your reply, and yes, I can do that, but it just shows the nearest Tesla charger, which is not open for non-Teslas.
When I look online, I see a screenshot of a page with ‘charge my non-Tesla’. I can’t find that on my app ?

Zapmap shows that there are Tesla Public Superchargers at Barton Hall Hotel, (listed as Kettering), and also one at Luton Retail Park. So, perhaps the Tesla app is correctly showing me that I could use the one at Kettering after all. It’s just confusing because neither of those locations are listed when I google open superchargers.

Just edited to add - maybe the app page has changed to ‘Charge your EV’ instead of ‘Charge your non-Tesla’???

Bit late, but you're not being daft, there has been a recent update.

Mine used to say 'Charge your non Tesla'

Now it just says 'Charge your EV'

It hasn't made any difference to my charging experience.

@Bricktop X PWR - hi, and thanks for your response. I think I eventually came to the same conclusion, but I always assume that Google will have the most up to date information. Apparently not necessarily so!!
Anyway, it’s great that more Tesla superchargers are open to other EVs than are listed on search forums.
Now I need to see if my ZS can access them……

Be aware that some newly opened sites may appear on the Tesla findus (Find Us, not the maker of fish fingers!) website but not yet appear in the app. Unless they're V4 supercharger sites then you won't be able to use them until they appear in the app. :)

something a bit fishy this morning...MG removed from the 'Vehicle Details' of the Tesla App where you can indicate your EV type for open supercharging

I hadn't spotted this before your post. Unlike @wandle MG4 trophy I haven't charged recently at any Tesla Open sites, chiefly because there are none near where I live! However, I have successfully used them at least twice in the last year or so so I know my car will "work" with them.

Opening the app this morning (after reading your post) I see a message that No vehicle is listed for my account (or words to that effect), previously it was MG5. So I went to the screen where such details can be entered and selected "Other" as the manufacturer and model, set the Maximum Range as 400km (!) and everything seems fine and my account, and payment method, are still shown as active so, hopefully, everything is still OK!

I think it must have been a recent update to the app as my car details, not an MG, were also missing. Also my email and phone verification needed to be re-done.
Of course re using the Tesla open to all sites if you have home charging you are unlikely to use any rapids near home, or at least I wouldn't, they are only for long journeys away from home. :)

Selecting other won't work.
Car not charging by selecting other and range 400.

Dont know why MG is removed from the list.
I have tesla charger near to my home but can't charge my MG ZS EV Trophy edition

I've been away this weekend and used Tesla superchargers twice ... one at Todhills M74 southbound, and the other at Gretna Outlet. Both worked flawlessly. However these are V4 superchargers so I simply used contactless payment to start the charges - I didn't use the app.

Tesla Walton Summit near Preston is my current go-to destination for public charging, I'm using the app (& membership) and have had no problems to date. I added the car using the "Other" option in the drop down menu and estimated the max range at 360km, it's been flawless. You may need to enter the location in the "Find a charger" section if for any reason your GPS doesn't automatically take you to that location in the app.
