Anyone wash their car today? ?

Get a proper car gun for it with interchangeable nozzles, much more control with it.
I have a K2 and a K4.

Thanks but I don't understand what that lot does. You'll have to speak to me like I'm 10!

What is a car gun and what do the interchangeable snozzles do?

I saw once in an advert a Karcher with adjustable electronic settings but I can't find that and I can't see that lasting long....

The Stanley is good for brute force stuff like cleaning flags. But not for the car, obviously, unless I'm in the next street....

My pressure washer has an adjustable nozzle which I set at a 45 degree fan I also keep the angle of attack at about 45 degrees but never straight on.

Pressure washers are more suitable for applying snow foam and a foam wash than doing the physical removal of dirt from cars.

Yes i only partly use a pressure washer on my car.
As a rule i mainly do not snowfoam but apply pre rinse via a pump sprayer to dry car, allow dwell then pressure rinse off, then the contact wash and final rinse is with the hose pipe only.

Full on day today, iron remover then pressure off, citrus pre rinse and pressure off then tar remover and contact wash with decon shampoo.
Dry, clay, machine polish, prep and ceramic coating. Hmm

Pics, when fully done, Chris. I've got me Sunnies on ready. 😎🙂👍

OK ,that's your hair done, when are going to start on the car?

Done a session and stopped for a break, all washed and decon done, hardly any iron fallout which surprised me, half way thru claying now and most of it is pretty smooth under the clay mitt, unsurprisingly the bonnet is the only bit that felt ‘gritty’.

Car in direct sun, too hot to apply any coating today.
Will finish claying and maybe DA polish the roof and call it a day at that.🤔

I used to do the all day/weekend routine, now I tend to do it in stages. Bonnet and mudguards one day (or weekend), then roof and doors the next, then rear/tailgate. If I'm feeling energetic, I might even reduce it to two sessions, rather than three.:)

Yes agree, i will break the rest up, polished the roof but there are some bird etchings on there that have not budged, all the light swirls are pretty much gone though it had.

At work there is a chap who does detailing as a sideline and he is good, i will get his advice before proceeding with that or maybe get him to have a go.
Just put a coat of a spray sealant on there for now to protect it.

Cleaned me gear up, had enuff today😂.

Will do the rest, polish, prep, coat in sections.

Did take a couple of pics but tbh it looks the same as before in them, shiny Orange😎.

Are the black roofs painted or wrapped, I've never really taken much notice?

To be honest neither have I, just had a quick look, and still can't really tell. It does feel a bit like, vinyl though, compared to paint. If it is a wrap, it's a bloody good un. 🙂👍
