Anyone wash their car today? ?

Spooky mate, I've just come in after doing mine, I should have taken a picture while it was out on the road side, it looked good out in the sun.

I’ve cleaned off a great dollop of seagull sprayed concrete but that’ll do for today 😂

Yep, definitely gotta be (carefully) cleaned off, as soon as. Especially if it's been eating Blackberries (seriously) And can also contain bits of shell/grit, so dab it off gently, don't just wipe it off. 🙂👍

Mine also looks sparkling, just ran a clay bar over the bonnet and realized how much crud is actually still on there.
These cars that have been sat around have been hammered by industrial fallout.
When it was delivered i sprayed it with an iron remover and there was loads of Purple bleeding on it but did not clay it then.

Has anyone with Orange paint noticing swirl marks on the paintwork that are quite noticable? The Orange seems to show it up badly, i know i have been super gentle washing it, maybe dealer wash wrecked it😮.

Going to break out machine polisher this weekend.

Can anyone recommend a snow gun? Bought one for my Worx Hydroshot, not adjustable, comes out like pee. Bought another one that has the brass coupling, no lather at all. Fit 2 gallons of foam concentrate and no way of applying. Want to use foam as I want to mitigate scratching on the XP, but also because her Aygo has a canvas sunroof, and my Sprinter is bloody huge and a ballache to wash. Might work on my Enfield 350 too..

A Worx Hydroshot isn't powerful enough to work a Snow Foam gun. You need a proper Jet wash for that. 🙂👍

I was hoping you wouldn’t say that! My decking needs doing so probably time to go back to a Karcher. Other brands are available, but not as much accessory support. Though I’ve improved my outdoor connectivity so a mains washer is more practical now than before.
Off to Amazon for a browse….

Years ago I got a Stanley pressure washer from a large orange building.

Used it on the last car we had and all was going swimmingly until it ripped some paint off the boot handle.....couldn't believe my eyes!

Been terrified of using it, or indeed any pressure washer to clean the car ever since, so I wash 'His Lordship' with a hose and buckets with grit guards, especially, as it's on lease. Imagine wrecking the paintwork with a pressure washer!

How the heck do you switch off "Honey Badger" mode to ensure you don't end up with stripped paintwork?

That’s the trouble with some of them, I don’t think any are adjustable to a useful degree. I had one that finished removing the clearcoat from MinLaw’s Mitsubishi.
One that’s ok for cars won’t be any good for cleaning the patio, and vice versa. Distance is your only adjustment. My Worx Hydroshot is several years old and still going strong but useless on the decking and not enough push to run a snow gun. It’s not even that good a bird muck on the car. Crucial option if it’s too high pressure is to fan the jet out as wide as is useful.
