    Canary loose in new Trophy

The same goes for me. This confirms that the SATNAV may have been updated automatically by OTA, perhaps as I mentioned here: https://www.mgevs.com/threads/satnav-update-mysterious-or-not-%EF%B8%8F-%E2%98%84%EF%B8%8F.19018/ I'll check the SATNAV settings to see if it has been reactivated by...

What do you use to wash your MG3? ☀️⛈️🌧️🌦️

Oh yes, Aitch1 ? I didn't know about this kind of gift on delivery. Here in France it's more of a carpet game beforehand. Getting back to the protective products for your MG3. Is this a specific MG product or is there a particular brand? I'm looking for a wash product that is suitable for our...

What do you use to wash your MG3? ☀️⛈️🌧️🌦️

It's all in the title. Now that your MG3 is facing the autumn rains and mud, what product do you use to keep its bodywork as spotless as on day one?

    Winter tyres

@gian That you consume more with your new tyres is not really surprising. Tyre manufacturers are always faced with the same equation: increased grip on the ground while keeping fuel consumption as low as possible. It's almost insoluble, but some manage it better than others. That's why the...

    Modifications

I agree with what you say, Archev. I had the same thing happen to me with a previous car - the cap I'd put on had stuck to the valve due to the damp and corrosion. I've since decided never to have that problem again.

    Modifications

I've also just changed the courtesy lighting with these white LEDs, which provide extra light while using less energy. It's not easy to unclip, as there's no + and - polarity indicator, but the effect is instantaneous and real.

    Winter tyres

Thank you DeclanB for this common sense advice. It's true that buying tyres is a subjective act that is all too often guided by a preference for one brand (some people, particularly in France, swear by Michelin tyres, rightly or wrongly believing them to be the best in the world). Others have...

    Hybrid Odometer Not Relevant

It's true that Toyota users can use the application to find out how long the electric motor and internal combustion engine are used on a given journey.... and in cumulative terms too. It would be great if MG could learn from them.

Don't worry, Gian, I agree with most of what you say, except that .... electric and hybrid cars wear their tyres more than conventional internal combustion cars. The motoring press and car users know this for a fact. So 10,000 km or 15,000 km is no exception.

Is this car a good buy?

Thank you BJS for your complimentary comments, which are very much in line with my own feelings. Everyone who has tried it has been pleasantly surprised by the mg3. Of course, you have to accept the constraints of modern cars with driving aids. But the equipment is very, very comprehensive and...

    Winter tyres

@DeclanB Look at my private message The test is extremely thorough and detailed. Wet grip is one criterion, but there are many others, such as... the longevity of this tyre‖, which is rated very poorly. If you have to change it after 10,000 km, that's also a problem.
