    Heated seats too hot?

It does start off a bit fierce but if you stick with it it does seem to settle down after a couple of minutes.

    Gridserve Chargers

There are two really good charge stations within 1/2 mile of M4 J17. We don't bother with Leigh Delamere any more.

Active Cruise & cornering, is this an issue?

Yes, it's supposed to do that. Personally, I would only use ACC on the motorway.

Not getting the advertised range on full charge

I find rain makes as much, if not more of a difference than temperature. Increased rolling resistance, increased demisting, and the energy used to pick up and throw aside literally tonnes of water from the road over the course of a long journey. In my old Volt I used all the available battery...

How many chargers are supplied with an MG ZS EV.

A granny charger comes with the car as standard. If it's a Motability car I understand they were also supplied with a type 2 cable as part of the package. Otherwise the type 2 cable is an optional extra. Some dealers provide one for free, some don't. You should ask the lease company for...

    Overnight charge failure

Thanks for the suggestions. Definitely not #1. That was the first thing I checked. Possibly #2 at one end or the other, but neither felt like there was movement when I checked. It was back to charging as expected last night so I will just need to wait & see if it happens again in the future.

Using Tesla Superchargers with my ZS EV

EG Group to acquire Tesla’s ultra-fast chargers to accelerate the rollout of evpoint charging network across the UK & Europe Not sure it makes any difference to anything, but it emphasizes the point that MG is responsible to ensure our cars are compatible with these chargers.

    Overnight charge failure

Prior to COVID mine was used daily, albeit at 3.3kW. Since then it has been less frequent, but at the full rated 7ish kW since I replaced my Volt with the ZS 12 months ago.

    Overnight charge failure

Short answer: no. I have had two installed in different houses, one since 2015, one since 2017, both without problems.

    Overnight charge failure

It's an older dumb Rolex. No scheduling clashes. Usual Octopus 00:30 - 04:30. It has always worked before, hopefully this is a one off.

MG ZS Trophy Long range - charging losses.

Short journeys will always be less efficient when the outside temperature drops as a disproportionate amount of the energy the car consumes will go into heating the battery and interior. Your wife is right (aren't they always!), unless you are relying on getting max range for your journey it's a...

    Overnight charge failure

Got home yesterday on 13%, plugged in as normal, this morning still on 13%. Scheduled charging is on, no RCD's or anything have tripped and the plug is all the way in. Hit "start charging" in the app just now and it is charging fine, albeit on expensive electrons.... Any ideas why it might have...

    MGismart app

It's one app account per car but any phone can log in if they have the user name & password. If she logs in it will drop you out and visa versa.

    Charging problems

Have you checked the car has not got scheduled charging set? Connecting then disconnecting a minute later sounds like what mine does when I plug it in, but I have set to charge overnight.

Interesting/worrying story from Scotland - ZS with no brakes.

737 Max is a bad example of software malfunction. The crashes were down to a sensor failing without redundancy or fault detection. The software did exactly what it was meant to do, but it was reacting to an erroneous input.

Interesting/worrying story from Scotland - ZS with no brakes.

Bear in mind this is an MG4 answer in the ZS forum. The 4 is a ground-up EV design which would be expected to have integrated systems. The ZS is an ICE design with an EV system added. My observation in the ZS is that the braking and regen systems are not integrated.

How do you set time on clock

+1 for this question! I found where to do it in the settings but after I changed it it switched straight back to the wrong time.

    Range has reduced

No. If you are going to be marginal on range it's a good idea to heat the interior using the app while you are still plugged in at home. The battery will warm up as you drive. There was an option on the app to heat it but I don't see it any more. Any battery heating on the move is aimed at...

    Range has reduced

Battery is colder? Using the heating? Driving in heavy rain? Different route to usual? Different driver using the car (with a heavier right foot)? Lots of variables will affect the estimate. Also, unless you are actually relying on the full range for long journeys it's pretty irrelevant other...
