try setting your temp to 19, with air from the outsde and not on auto it made a difference in mine even though its a 2023 model. I leave it on 19 all year round.
Mine is a 2023 phev and I leave my temperature on 19 deg aircon all year round and the air coming in from outside on rainy days. If no rain I just leave it on normal recirc, aircon demists the window a lot better than heat, If it mists up when starting driving I just push the piano demist button...
We have a 2023 MG HS PHEV and a 2010 Toyota Prius.
The PHEV averages in between fillups 0.8 litres per 100kms.
The Prius hybrid averages 6.5 litres per 100kms.
Both are used around town and out of town trips.
If we do just around town running using the 63km electric range the phev gets down to...
yes very true, the reason why I took the cap off for 10 mins as I had only just filled it up and overfilled it slightly (went past the first cutout ) it was strange though as once the breakdown callout cleared the codes, I drove home the rest of the way with no errors. then when I started it...
I had that error come up as well on the way back from a trip. I called out the breakdown service and he checked on his diagnostic and said it was the lambda sensor, he couldnt see anything else wrong and the car was driving ok so he cleared the error so i could dfrive the 100kms home. The error...
Try setting it to outside air instead of recirculated air. There is also a setting to windscreen with internal car in the heater settings. It defaults to auto.
The AA breakdown service I called out said it was the lambda sensor came up on his display as well. It may have been to full as I had just filled up and went past the first shutoff stop with petrol 30 mins before as when I left the cap off for 10 mins it cleared, which was strange and it hasn't...
you could try a heavy duty extension cord plugged into the mg supplied charger ? Mine is too far away as well so I use a short ext cord plugged into a WIFI plug on the wall so I can schedule start and finish times.
Had my mg phev back in the dealer today. They couldn't find any error codes ? the AA breakdown tech cleared the error so I could drive home, it musnt have a log saved of errors even though the light came on again the next day ? They did some updates of engine management software and told me to...
The engine light is on again this morning. booked into the dealers service dept for Tuesday.
I just read online that it could be vapour trapped after I filled up.
They suggested to leave the fuel cap off for 10 minutes.
I just did this and the engine light has disappeared off the dash :)
We went up to the airport in Auckland tonight to pick somepne up. While we were waiting for them I refueled. Picked them up and started our drive back to hamilton 120kms away. After 5 mins the yellow picture of an engine came up on the dashboard. We stopped at the next station as we were on the...
why are you using cruise control in the city, its really only for the highway where cars are spaced further and go a lot faster. cruise control at slow speeds in the city is dangerous which is why your car is braking ??
I dont use the EPB ((A)) button and just use it like a normal car. The park brake comes on when stopping, turning the car off or on a hill anyway or as soon as you roll. I used to have it on but same problem, it wouldnt release sometimes. Since i turned it off np.
My phev stays in EV mode on startup during the summer when the weather is hot. If it had a heat pump for a heater it wouldnt have this problem I dont think. It really does seem strange that the heater stops it staying in EV mode but apparently a quite few phevs are like this ..
It wont stay in EV mode if the heater water temp is low. The water temp has to be high enought to heat the car internally and keep the battery at the right temp. The internal workings of the car are still run off the 12 volt battery just like a normal car - It doesnt have a heat pump so it uses...
