2021 MG ZS EV not charging on AC

Hi, I have a 2021 MG ZS EV that I have had since new and have now covered 50k miles. Overall I have had very little issues with the car until now.

I plugged into my 7kw home charger and although charger recognised car and went into charging mode the car remained on connected but not charging. The logs for my home charger show no errors and this was confirmed by engineer.

I have checked by plugging into a neighbours charger and also at the street chargers but same issue. But when I use a rapid DC charger the car is taking charge.

Any ideas on where to start to find a resolution as the earliest date the dealer can give me to look at under warranty is 10th October!!

Sounds like your on-board AC charger is faulty.

Have you tried it on the granny EVSE?

Hi all, sorry for late update. Took over 4 months for a warranty repair due to no availability and then the MG system going down. The issue turned out to be the 12v battery! The mechanic said there were loads of 'errors' that the car was showing to do with the 12v battery. They replaced this, cleared the errors and all seems working again. They have no idea why this would have stopped charging.

Yeah, lots of reports of duff 12V battery throwing up multiple errors
