A bit of Friday Fun... Name That Tune. (Car)!

In the 70's I did pretty much know and could identify every car on the road by seeing just a small part of it. But there again there weren't as many different cars then as there is now.

My claim to shame was that as a full time Esso Tanker Driver in the 90s 2000s, I could identify cars just from the headlights coming up from behind at night.

I still shout out cars to my wife even today.

You know, when your watching the telly and within the shot, you get a smidgeon of interior or a wing mirror perhaps, or just a tiny bit of tailight....

"Astra" "Bmw" "Saab" etc.

I can tell she's always super impressed.

NOT 🤣

I also knew what it was, but if you didn't, you only needed to know how to........
read? 🤣

Yeah, but the thread title is "Name that Tune" so nothing to do with identifying the make or model, but what tune does it bring to mind?

One I thought of was Supertramp Dreamer ;) they didn't even make it yet they are claiming it's their first move into the EV market .....

So, what other tunes come to mind .... there is rather deep one, more related to the lyrics, but a very well known song and group that performed it .....

EDIT: I stand corrected, Toyota did actually make the BZ4X and it was Subaru that badge engineered it o_O

OK, seems not many interested or with their thinking caps on at the moment.
Here is another tongue in cheek one, Staying Alive by the B Gees ;)

I'll post the rather deep (cryptic maybe) one tomorrow if no one wants to have a go

Not bad, hadn't thought of that one ..... but as we know to well, the Toyota BZ4X isn't a Toyota at all, just badge engineering, it's really a /Subaru /Solterra just having a base model with /fwd only but the AWD model is, well, a few design trims, a bit like the Holden Commodore and the Toyota Lexen here in Australia ... a few suttle changes, but it was a Holden V6 Commodore really, just badge engineered

I don't know the answer to this but I will ask anyway. Is the Toyota a copy of the Subaru or the other way round ? Only reason for asking is that the Toyota was available in the UK a full 9 months before the Subaru.
Answers please on a ........

Indeed. At least Toyota had experience with unpluggable hybrids, so motors and their controllers, and some work with moderately high voltages (the later Prius worked at some 500 V, stepped up from a 202V (was: 132 V) NiMH hybrid battery (from poor memory). I don't think that Subaru's motors went beyond starter motors (I was going to say windscreen wiper motors).

Well, that wrecks my deep and cryptic one, cause it now appears as though I got it wrong about who made it and who badge engineered .....

The Song was "Stairway to Heaven" performed by Led Zepplin.

There's a sign on the wall, but she wants to be sure
'Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings

Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on

And it makes me wonder

buying a stairway to Heaven
