Recenetly completed another long trip to Rock in Cornwall, 175 miles from home, could have done it in one, but wanted to use the Tesla Supercharge network, as wellas having something in reserve, a number are now allowing non Tesla ownwers to charge, I'd previously used Tesla on the M5, returning from Cumbria, also there are not a lot of useful chargers around Rock.
On a wet day, we did some shopping at Morriisons in Bodmin, we were getting a bit low on juice, their system is 22kW, so reasonable amount was added in a couple of hours, including a very good breakfast.
For the Cornwall trip we used Tesla Darts Farm, near Topsham, south of Exeter, absolutly brilliant, no probs charging, having previously downloaded and set up the Tesla app, nearly half the price of the normal fast charge networks @ 42p/kWh.
Able to have a nice coffee and snack in the fabulous deli and cafe, charged to 95% after not long at all.
I've now lost all my inhibitions regarding charging en-route, as long as a small amount of pre planning is done, its a doddle.
