Hi
I've previously noted that if I am playing the car radio (DAB) and plug in my phone and the CarPlay button becomes active the radio stops playing. I can play audio from the phone into the car but could find no way of getting the radio to play. I found this irksome.
A week or two back I took a call in the car whilst I had CarPlay navigating using Waze and when the call was disconnected the radio started playing. I decided to test today and as usual the radio stopped as soon as I activated CarPlay by plugging the phone in. I then initiated a phone call (to the answerphone) and as soon as I dropped the call I was able to control the radio. I then started an audio stream on the phone (BBC Sounds) and that played ok. When I stopped it the audio stopped but the radio did NOT restart. But from the main car screen I saw above the infotainment screen it said CarPlay and I could use the arrows through USB until it got to radio and it started playing again.
