Yep, cocktail stick is better for the usual small chip. Also do it in 2 or 3 applications if necessary rather than trying to complete first time with a big blob.I would get some touch up paint, but instead of using the small brush provided in the bottle cap, I’d use a cocktail stick or something similar, so that you can add just a tiny dab of paint. I find the brush to be a bit too big for most of the chips I tend to get.
Trying to get paint chip for MG4 SE SR HOLBORN BLUE - it is so new, paint company can’t see it even though I have supplied the car paint code 5JAY!Yep, cocktail stick is better for the usual small chip. Once cured for several days, I usually take something flat wrapped in a soft cloth and use a cutting compound to level the paint to the surrounding area, gives a more hidden repair.
It looks like Chipex do it:Trying to get paint chip for MG4 SE SR HOLBORN BLUE - it is so new, paint company can’t see it even though I have supplied the car paint code 5JAY!

DittoI ordered a kit for my Orange trophy from Chipex. They happily took the order, but then the next day refunded because they don’t actually have the paint mix yet.
Yep! same for the Holborn BlueDitto
The code in the door for my volcano orange is 5ZBP? Is this not the correct code after all? I have an outstanding order with Paintnuts because I had the same response from Chipex as AdanskiEM and you.I spoke to Chipex yesterday via their live chat. My dealer gave me the paint code for Volcano Orange which is NFZ and after I gave them that they said I could order and they can supply. I ordered yesterday and there is a 15% sitewide flash sale at the moment.
The paint code NFZ is the one I was given by head of service at my local MG dealer ??The code in the door for my volcano orange is 5ZBP? Is this not the correct code after all? I have an outstanding order with Paintnuts because I had the same response from Chipex as AdanskiEM and you.
